Get to Know Mrs. Castillo
Family, creativity, and teaching are at the heart of who I am. I’m a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother to two granddaughters, with another grandbaby on the way! I value the relationships that help us grow, and I bring that same care into my work with students and families.
My 18 years in education include five years teaching fifth grade, one year in second grade, one year in fourth grade, three years teaching art, and eight years in English Language Development. I currently teach English Language Development with Tulsa Public Schools.
These experiences have shaped the way I teach: getting to know each learner, building on their strengths, and helping them feel confident enough to try. At Mrs. Castillo’s Learning Studio, I focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with a special passion for supporting multilingual learners while welcoming all learners who need support.
The studio also reflects a family dream. My daughter Jasmine’s photography business, my niece’s business, Britt’s Balloons, and my Learning Studio all share a home at Solera Studio in Broken Arrow—a space where we can each bring our creativity and passion to our community.
